Outreach and Communication
About Outreach and Communication
The Outreach and Communication (OAC) component of the Oklahoma Nathan Shock Center promotes the center's services, programs and activities, aiming to disseminate knowledge in aging and geroscience. It ensures effective communication with the research community and strives to enhance understanding and interest in aging and geroscience research among non-scientists. Additionally, the OAC is committed to ensuring accessibility to NSC resources and the annual Geroscience symposium. It collaborates closely with the NSC Program Enhancement Core (PEC), Research Core Leaders, and investigators to foster an inclusive and accessible research and training environment. The OAC also actively seeks to increase pilot applications and core users from individuals at diverse career stages, from various geographic locations, and with varied backgrounds. Questions regarding OAC resources should be directed to Dr. Sarah Ocañas (OAC Leader) at sarah-ocanas@omrf.org.
